Summer

Spending the winter in the south pacific made my summer 4 months longer but I still feel like Autumn is sneaking in a little early this year.

The beginning of May Becka and I returned to Portland (*and Selena who left us early) from our “second home” Guam. A travel time usually taking between 20 to 35 hours.

I could only stay put exactly a month before I was back on a plane. A last minute trip to Boston with Breanna and Jacob to see an amazing 3 hours of Leonard Cohen. Assuming his age would prevent us from having another oppurtunity. Shortly after returing from that it was summer roadtrip #1 to Whitefish Montana for James’ birthday. Day drinking, taxadermy displays in bars, jumping into freezing cold rivers, and drunk rednecks being “sorry about our luck” because we live in Portland.

A couple weeks later Becka and I were on a plane to spend 10 days in Montana’s polar opposite… Hawaii…

I only had 3 days to unpack Hawaii and pack for Europe. Dublin was the first stop and then to the south of France. Where I stayed with Romain a friend from my trip to France last year.

After a week or so in the south we took the train to Genova Italy and then to Florence Italy.

Where we stayed with the beautiful Benedetta who later took us to her families country house in Tuscany. A quick stop in Pisa and then we were on a plane to Paris.

About 5 days later the language barrier, lack of buritto’s, my disfunctional phone, and creepy dudes with boners on the metro convinced me it was time to come home.
